Refund Policy

ReadyBid is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. We do not hold payments in escrow or act as a party to the transaction. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on payment, inspection, collection, delivery, and any other terms of the sale. This policy explains how the ReadyBid Platform Fee is treated.
1. The Platform Fee Is Non-Refundable
The ReadyBid Platform Fee is non-refundable. Once the Platform Fee has been paid, it will not be refunded, except where a refund is required by applicable New Zealand law.
2. No-Refund Circumstances
No refund will be provided in the following circumstances, including but not limited to:
- The buyer or seller decides not to proceed with the transaction.
- The buyer or seller changes their mind.
- The parties are unable to reach an agreement.
- The transaction is cancelled by either party.
- The item or service is no longer available.
- The buyer is dissatisfied with the item, service, or outcome of the transaction.
- The buyer or seller fails to complete the transaction after contact details have been released.
- A dispute arises between the buyer and the seller.
- The buyer is unable to contact the seller after the contact details have been released.
- The buyer or seller breaches their agreement or fails to fulfil their obligations.
3. What the Platform Fee Is For
The Platform Fee is charged for the service provided by ReadyBid, including facilitating the match between buyers and sellers, processing the transaction through the platform, and releasing the parties' contact details. It is not a deposit, purchase payment, or escrow payment for the goods or services being bought or sold.
4. ReadyBid's Role
ReadyBid acts solely as a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. ReadyBid is not a party to the transaction and is not responsible for the quality, condition, delivery, payment, or performance of the goods or services offered.
5. Before You Pay
We encourage all buyers to exercise due diligence before making full payment. Where possible, inspect the goods, verify their condition, and satisfy yourself that the transaction meets your expectations before completing payment. Using good judgment and taking reasonable precautions helps ensure a safe and successful buying experience for everyone.
6. Platform Fees May Change
ReadyBid reserves the right to review, change, introduce, or remove Platform Fees at any time without prior notice. Any revised fee will apply to new transactions and, where applicable, will be displayed to users before payment is required.
